What are the Steps for the Registration of a Company in Singapore?

The registration of a company is based on the following three steps

Step One - Approval of Company's Name

In this step, you are required to submit 3-5 names for your company, to the agent and the particular names will be checked for their availability in the portal.

The company's name must:

Note that the approved name of your company is reserved for 60 days.

Step 2 – Documentation

  • Copy of Singapore ID card (for locals)

For foreign individuals

Step 3 - Submission of Application

In this step, you submit your application with all the required documents on the portal managed by ACRA.

The submission of the application is online, and an agent can get your company registered in 2-3 days, unless it is referred to higher authorities for approval which can delay the process for two months.

Following are the documents that are issued after a successful registration.

Incorporation Certificate

ACRA sends an email that contains the registration number which is assigned to the company, incorporation date, etc.

If your company requires a hard copy of the certificate of incorporation, they can apply for it.

Business Profile of the Company

This profile contains information about the company for e.g., name, registration number, incorporation date, address, information of shareholders and directors. These details are required for the opening of  corporate bank account, signing official documents, and subscription of utilities for the office.
